Lucie and András - Bohemian, Swiss-Hungarian wedding in a rustic villa

Lucie and András dreamed up a bohemian wedding in a beautiful rustic natural setting near Budapest, yet in the quiet countryside of Leányfalu in Amber Bride by Sorg Villa. Most of the guests did not speak Hungarian or French, but the family members only understood these languages, so we opted for trilingual communication, which is always a challenge, but we managed to get the proportions perfectly right.

Lucie is a bride of Swiss origin, so the menu could not be complete without Swiss cheeses and some typical drinks.

They wanted to go eco with the decoration: one of the central elements was the bride’s favourite flower, the red poppy, complemented by various homemade small items arranged by the bride’s friends on the spot. The thank you gift was also absolutely eco-friendly, with each guest receiving a small bag of poppy seeds to plant in their own garden.

Lucie and András found each other at the Sziget Festival and wanted to recreate that relaxed outdoor festival atmosphere at their wedding. At night, the party atmosphere was as big as on the Island.
